Kara Joseph is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Massachusetts with over 25 years of experience as a psychotherapist and medical social worker. She graduated from Boston College School of Social Work with her Masters of Social Work in 1999 and went on to receive advanced certification in hospice and palliative social work.

 

Kara is also a poet and writer and has poems and articles published in professional magazines, literary journals, and anthologies. She also provides poetry therapy in a variety of community settings as well as private practice. Kara is currently a trainee for the international Federation of Biblio/poetry therapy, and serves on the editorial board for the National Association of Poetry Therapy. She is also an adjunct social work faculty member at Charter Oak State College.
